Creating the Costumes of ‘Hellboy’s’ “Good Old-Fashioned Monsters”

Designing Hellboy’s mask and bodysuit involved 60 mold makers, special painters and animatronic pros. “I made the conscious decision not to go as red, and built up the color to make the artificial skin look real,” says designer Joel Harlow.
